ART ACROSS THE CITY

Art Across The City 2015 opens onSaturday 21st March with a range of 15 contemporary artworks in public spaces across the city. These include new commissions by David Cushway,Graham Dolphin, Colin Priest, Emily Speed and Michael Stumpf.

Copperwood Bluegrass Band

This band hail from North Devon and feature double bass, fiddle, mandolin and vocals. They play classic tunes from the likes of Bill Monroe, The Stanley Brothers, Alison Krauss and Union Station alongside original material with mellow bluegrass, old timey and Irish influences, which they like to call the ‘Devonish mellow blend’.

The Bodyguard

As refreshing and thrilling as the day it was written, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma! is the original feel-good musical.

Celebrating the vigour of America’s pioneering spirit with classic tunes and boot-stomping dances, we follow rugged cowboy Curly (Ashley Day) and the girl of his dreams, Laurey (Charlotte Wakefield), as they travel down love’s highway on an extremely bumpy surrey ride.

Featuring a live orchestra and overflowing with well known songs like I’m Just a Girl Who Cain’t Say No and the rousing title song, this brand new production from the award-winning producers of The King & I and Fiddler on the Roofbrings its audience romance, excitement and a score filled with sunshine.
