Johnny Flynn and the Sussex Wit
With a rich mixture of instrumental talent and poetic lyricism, Johnny Flynn And The Sussex Wit are folk with a difference. Lyrically clever but not abstract talent shines through above all else, this is fragile English Folk that needs to be heard.

Flynn is a Shakespearian actor by trade but seems to be talented enough to engage audiences with folk narratives designed to evoke and encapsulate.

He is joined by a troop of casually talented friends and fellow musicians including Larrikin love, Emmy The Great and Jeremy Warmsley. Clearly Dylan-influenced guitar work with echoes of Lonnie Johnson and Jeffrey Lewis show a musician with respect for his roots and a progressive attitude.

The release of 7" single, The Epic Tale Of Tom And Sue, contains a magical taste of what there is to come from this talented young man. The haunting Tickle Me Pink and b-side, Cold Bread, showcases an indisputable songwriting talent that is sure to increase an already growing fan base. Forthcoming album, A Larum, is set to impress. An anti-folk hero in the making.
