Billy Crocker has stowed away with the aspiration of winning the heart of his beloved, Hope Harcourt but when he runs into an old friend Reno Sweeney, an evangelising nightclub singer who agrees to help him win his sweetheart, there are plenty more knots than those in the rigging!

But will love be triumphant? And will they manage to dodge Snake Eyes Johnson – ‘Public Enemy Number 1’ – the owner of the passport that Crocker just happens to be travelling on?
