


Roll up, roll up! Join us for a summer packed with fun activities for all the family.
Linked to our Powysland Museum exhibition, “Alexandra, Princess and Queen”, our theme is Victorian and Edwardian childhood with traditional crafts such as scrapbooking, painting and toy making.
Thanks to support from the Heritage Lottery Fund we are able to offer these activities at a reduced price of
£1 per child (normal price £2).
Thursday 24th July 11.30-12.30. Victorian Toys. Make and play with some traditional toys. Some parental help required for children under five years.
Thursday 31st July 11.30-12.30. Board and Parlour Games. Learn how to play some Victorian games and make your own to take home.
Thursday 7th August 1.30-2.30. The Seaside! The Victorians invented beach holidays – come and make some seaside toys.
Thursday 14th August 1.30-2.30. Portraits and Pictures. Learn the art of portraiture and miniatures.
Thursday 21st August 1.30-2.30. Scrapbooks. We will teach you the craft of Victorian scrap-booking and decoupage.
Thursday 28th August 1.30-2.30. Wonderful Watercolours. Watercolour painting on a variety of objects.
