Annual residential Art School takes place at the end of July this year; offering you the opportunity to follow one of our accredited art courses on location, whilst enjoying peaceful surroundings and the chance to socialise with like-minded people.

The courses on offer this year are:

Figure to Landscape - drawing the figure and drawing the landscape, finding visual parallels in the two subjects and allowing them to influence each other. Working in a life studio and outdoors.

Appoaches to Landscape Painting - learn the skills and techniques to make images and paintings of the landscape; recording the essence of the scene.

Abstracting the Landscape - drawing and painting the landscape in a variety of media, with emphasis on acrylic.

Rich in inspiration for the artist, Gregynog Hall was the 1920’s  home of the Davies sisters, which housed a magnificent collection of Monet, Renoir, Picasso and Cezanne paintings which now can be seen in the National Museum of Wales.
