Falstaff – ‘From Shakespeare to Verdi’ with Mid Wales Opera

A day of performance, analysis and discussion delivered by Mid Wales Opera and Glyndŵr University. With discussion around excerpts from both the play and opera, this promises to be a highly illuminating and entertaining day for anyone interested in widening their appreciation of the dramatic process and of the richness of plot and character. Adventurer Tori James became the youngest British female (at 25) and the first ever Welsh woman to climb Mount Everest in 2007 – making here the highest welsh woman. Here she will talk about the expedition and her determination to succeed. She says “I’m 5"1, petite, and at first glance nobody thinks that I could even carry a rucksack around the park let alone climb the world’s highest mountain”..Come along to hear her story. “Tori speaks of her own courage, joie de vivre, and sheer grit and determination in a way that is inspiring, and utterly compelling to listen to”
