Plunge, a new tour of South Wales by young professional dancers, is a thrilling and bold evening of beautiful, theatrical and spellbinding dance.

Last year, after more than 25 years, your national dance company changed its name from Diversions to National Dance Company Wales. Now the award-winning Company is proud to be presenting Plunge, specially created for smaller venues with the same high production qualities that have made National Dance Company Wales so popular across our nation and internationally.

Co-directors Roy Campbell-Moore, Artistic Associate of National Dance Company Wales, and former Company dancers Phil Williams and Sarah Storer, have been working with six of the UK’s most talented young dancers to produce a razor-sharp, lyrical and entertaining double-bill.

Hinterland is a fresh interpretation of Campbell-Moore’s elegant work from National Dance Company Wales’ repertoire that wowed audiences at venues as far a-field as Cork, Cardiff and China. The beautiful dance is set to glorious music by the late Alun Hoddinott, recorded by BBC National Orchestra of Wales.

Shut Up! is a riveting and powerful new work set to the songs and moods of the X-Factor generation. This totally engaging dance-theatre production traces three couples in freefall as their relationships tear apart.
