An exhibition curated by Michael Freeman, curator, based on his ongoing research into the subject. It will show Welsh costume as it really was, not as the romantic cliché ridden stuff of Victorian postcards.
There will also be an accompanying exhibition in the National Library of Wales of paintings, prints and photographs showing depictions of Welsh costume in the last two centuries.
