Ron Manley:

"I was born in Southampton, Hampshire in 1952 and only started to paint in December 1999

I am completely self taught and enjoy what happens when you apply paint to canvas and finally produce a painting that is not only pleasing to me, but also to all the customers that have purchased them. To them a big thank you.

I try to gain all the knowledge I can from, making mistakes, other artist’s work, books and discussions with my artist friends, I am constantly trying to improve the work I produce, and experimenting with new styles, I am striving to create a look (and feel) all of my own. As an artist I feel you do tend to look at the world in a different light. "

"My love of gardening and flowers prompted to paint. It started raining whilst tending the garden, so I sheltered in Ron’s studio, all his brushes, paint and canvas were available and as he was away at the time, I though I would like to at least try to paint a flower.

From then on I was hooked. That was in the summer of 2007. "
