Oriel Mostyn Exhibtion
African Summer, a working title for the exhibition, brings exciting, diverse and vibrant art to Caernarfon from west Africa. Artists confirmed for the exhibition include the painter Atta Kwami from Ghana, with others from Cameroon, Nigeria and possibly Benin currently under consideration.
The exhibition will show a wide range paintings, sculpture and montages. It serves to demonstrate innovative approaches to an increasingly globalised culture alongside modern interpretations of the older cultural traditions of west Africa.
Further work by each artist will be on display in Llandudno were they will form a special African season in Oriel 6&7 which is timed to coincide with the Galeri exhibition.
Oriel Mostyn Gallery is supported by the Arts Council of Wales, Conwy County Borough Council Arts Service and Llandudno Town Council.
