Welsh Independent Dance

Dance Bytes: New Work

A stimulating and engaging contemporary dance double-bill from choreographers Jessie Brett and Jo Shapland who have been selected to go through to the final stage of Welsh Independent Dance’s unique choreographic development programme, Dance Bytes.

New Work is the third and final stage of this programme which is dedicated to creating and developing choreographic work made in Wales by emerging and established dance artists.

Crisply shot in black and white, this Palme D’Or winner is set in a rural German village just prior to World War I. Voiced by an old man who used to be the village schoolteacher, the story reveals mysterious goings-on.
