Art At is a new environmentally themed art event, which takes place at Rhosygilwen, Pembrokeshire on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th June.
Art At brings together over 40 prominent artists from across Wales in a celebration of creativity and environmental awareness. Features of the event include showcase exhibitions, artist masterclasses, workshops, demonstrations, children’s activities, craft stalls, live music and performance.
The public will be encouraged to take part, with the opportunity to try a range of creative activities - from painting, sculpture and printmaking to hand made books, willow work and weaving to name but a few.
The protection of the environment is one of our biggest challenges. Many artists in Wales engage creatively with their environment, and have individual ways of interpreting the landscape around them. ART AT’S element of environmental education is not intended to preach, but to be open-minded, creative, thought-provoking and motivational.
For its visitors, Art At provides the opportunity to explore their creative side and to take something valuable home with them – not necessarily an object, but certainly, an inspiration.
The event will also provide a platform for young artists and new work.
The venue, Rhosygilwen Mansion, has a beautiful timber-frame concert hall, and 50 acres of gorgeous gardens and parkland. Rhosygilwen will also provide a bar and delicious home-cooked, locally sourced food. In parallel with ART AT, Rhosygilwen will be running their annual Art Olympics, with a £250 prize for the winner.
