The Doric String Quartet is fast emerging as one of the outstanding quartets of their generation.  Now in its 10th season and its members only averaging 25 years old, the Quartet regularly performs at most of the UK’s leading chamber music venues as well as touring worldwide with concerts in Indonesia, Israel and Japan this year.

Mark Simpson, who was previously listed as part of the concert programme, will unfortunately not be able to perform at this concert, but he is replaced by another brilliant clarinetist, Sarah Williamson.  She was a finalist in the BBC Young Musician Competition in 2002 and has won second prize in the Eurovision Competition for Young Musicians in Berlin.  She has also played with the BBC Symphony Orchestra and Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra.
