As part of Powysland Museum’s newest exhibition: “Alexandra, Princess and Queen”, the museum in collaboration with Ashman’s Antiques in Welshpool is staging a Victorian and Edwardian fashion show.
Both as Princess of Wales and Queen, Alexandra was known as one of the most beautiful and fashionable ladies in Europe and her clothes and style were copied by women both in Britain and on the Continent. The show will present the exquisite and fascinating styles of 19th century and early 20th century clothes as worn by Princess Alexandra’s contemporaries.
