Steve Robinson is a contemporary glass designer-maker, specialising in the kiln-formed glass technique.
Steve takes inspiration for much of his work from the surrounding coastal colours and textures. His contemporary style combined with his obvious love of colour ensure the finished pieces have a tactile quality with intense depth of colour and texture. One of his particular ‘signature’ pieces are his sculptural shell-form bowls. Each one is a unique shape, as Steve makes by hand a fresh, individual mould for each one. He also makes a range of coasters, platters, freestanding panels, wall hangings as well as a small range of jewellery. The feature of the exhibition is a hand crafted oak screen inlaid with Steve’s glass panels.
