Paintings by Harry Jepson

These paintings are informed by the artists’ lifelong love of music as a listener, performer and composer. Reflected within this is an interest in measured time and movement. Some of the work appears to depict abstract narrative and can be read from left to right….songs. Others suggest snatched dramatic moments…arias.
They are all influenced by the mid twentieth century school of abstract art and their cool abstraction make them a pleasure to look at.
