The Ukulele Orchestra is a group of all-singing, all-strumming Ukulele players who use instruments bought with loose change and who believe that all genres of music are open to reinterpretation as long as they are played on the Ukulele!

Their concerts are a funny, virtuosic, twanging, singing, awesome, foot-stomping mix of rock’n’roll, post-punk and light entertainment featuring only the ‘bonsai guitar’ and voices - no drums, backing tracks or banjos.

From Tchaikovsky to Nirvana via Otis Reading, the Orchestra takes you on a world tour with only hand luggage and gives the audience ‘one plucking thing after another’!

The Orchestra have appeared on Later…with Jools Holland, Blue Peter, Richard and Judy, Radio 4, and sold out concerts across the world from Ronnie Scott’s jazz club and Glastonbury to the Chicago Chamber Music Festival. Don’t miss their first visit to Aberystwyth!
