Not many bands can lay claim to being nominated for a prestigious BBC Folk Award (Best Group at the 2009 Awards), before they’ve released an album but this one can.

 

With a heady mix of richly melodic vocals, melodeons, electric bass and acoustic guitar, they breathe youthful vigour and considerable energy into their folk-inspired music, as shown in their exuberant debut album The Awkward Recruit.
