“The recovery of memory is a present-day activity. It’s not the past.”
A group of actors meet in a rehearsal room to explore events in Berlin during the rise of Hitler, and later, following the fall of the Berlin Wall. Meanwhile, we witness scenes in Bethlehem as the Israeli security barrier is going up…
This new play by Welsh dramatist Jonathan Lichtenstein (whose earlier play The Pull of Negative Gravity won an Edinburgh Fringe First for innovation and outstanding new writing), was received brilliantly by New York audiences and critics when Clwyd Theatr Cymru toured to the USA for the first time last year.
Terry Hands (Director of Clwyd Theatr Cymru) is one of Europe’s leading directors and was founder of the Liverpool Everyman.
"…a thought-provoking evening and a fine piece of drama" Western Mail
